How this guide works
This guide compares brand and marketing options for established businesses across Moreton Bay, including North Lakes, Strathpine, Brendale, Morayfield, Caboolture and Redcliffe. Zelexis is based in Brisbane’s north and wrote this guide, so we say so plainly and list ourselves first. Every other option is described from its own public website, checked on the date shown, and assessed against the same criteria.
We follow the principles the ACCC sets out in its guide for comparator websites: compare like with like, be open about commercial relationships, and be clear about who and what is being compared.
How every option was assessed
- Based in, or regularly working with clients in, Moreton Bay
- Offers brand, website or marketing services relevant to established businesses
- Publishes work or describes its clients openly
- States clearly who it works with and what it offers
The kinds of help available
Moreton Bay has a range of capable options. Some studios offer fixed packages for a brand identity or a website, which suit a business with a clear, simple need. Some specialise in events and social media, including training so a team can manage its own channels. Some specialise in one sector, such as healthcare, where advertising rules and buyers are specific. A strategy-led studio starts with how the business should be perceived, which suits a business whose presentation has fallen behind its reputation.
Choosing by the problem
It is common for a growing business to buy a website or a social media package when the underlying problem is that buyers misunderstand what it does best. If that sounds familiar, start with the position. If the position is clear and you need a specific piece of work done well, a package or a specialist may be the most efficient choice.
Proximity and meetings
Local search tends to show nearby businesses first. Google explains that its local results are based mainly on relevance, distance and prominence. For the business choosing help, distance mostly affects how easy it is to meet. Across Moreton Bay that is rarely a barrier, so fit, process and the people involved should decide.
Questions to ask any option
Ask each option how it will learn about your business, who will do the work, what you will receive, what it will cost and what is excluded, and who will own the finished work. Comparing the answers side by side usually makes the choice clear.
A useful next step
Something to try this week.
Before contacting anyone, decide which of the four kinds of help in the diagram matches your problem. Then contact two options of that kind and one of a different kind. Comparing how each understands your business is often more revealing than comparing quotes.
