Overview

Paint Gods is a residential and commercial painting business with a strong reputation and an existing identity. Zelexis designed a website that shows the standard of its finish before a client asks for a quote, with a guided quote request that gathers the project details first.

The challenge

Give a strong reputation a place people can inspect.

The starting point

Paint Gods was already known for quality painting across homes and businesses. People who had seen the work recommended it.

New prospects and referrals had nowhere to assess that standard for themselves. Quote enquiries usually began with a phone call, and the details had to be gathered in conversation. The owner wanted one place to send people, and a more organised first step.

Where the reputation lived
Recommendations, social posts and phone calls.
What the business needed
One place to inspect the work and ask for a quote.

The work was already good. People needed one place to see it before they picked up the phone.

From scattered to one place

The reputation was real. It was just spread out.

A strong word-of-mouth business still needs somewhere to point people. The website gathers it all together.

  • Home or business?

Word of mouth

“Most of our work comes through word of mouth from people across Chinchilla, Dalby and Miles.”

The thinking

Build on what is already working.

The existing identity and reputation were useful assets. The work focused on expressing them consistently and making the quality easier to assess.

First coat

Extend the supplied identity.

The logo guided the palette, typography, tone and paint-inspired motifs across the website. Its existing character became a considered digital expression, without an unnecessary redesign.

A stronger application of an existing brand.

A wall before paintingThe same wall after paintingBeforeAfter

Second coat

Make quality something people can inspect.

Aligned before-and-after photographs let visitors examine the change for themselves. Residential and commercial work supports the service information with direct visual evidence.

The finish becomes the proof.

The first step of the Paint Gods quote request

Third coat

Shape the enquiry around the business.

A guided quote request gathers the project details before Ethan follows up. It fits the way he works: the on-site quote visit is confirmed separately, by phone.

A useful request that starts one clear conversation.

Explain what goes into the result

The difference is in the prep you never see.

Paint Gods’ own standard, set out on the website, explains why the finish lasts. Four layers sit under every visible result.

Headings and standard from paintgods.com.au. The website gives the preparation a place to be seen.

No shortcuts

Every job is walked before it is called done.

Clean lines

Sharp cut-ins, even coverage and tidy edges.

Better materials

The right product for each surface.

Proper prep

Wash, fill, sand and prime, before any paint goes on.

The expression

From proof of the finish to a useful quote request.

The design brings the supplied logo’s character, project imagery and clear service information together. Comparisons show the work; the quote request helps people take the next step.

3.1The supplied identity, extended

3.2The first impression

The standard, the proof and the next step, together.

The homepage states the finish it works to, shows the rating behind it, and opens the quote request alongside.
