Social media strategy

A Zelexis social media strategy starts from the brand position rather than from posting. We agree what the business should be known for, then choose the channels its clients use, the content pillars that prove the position and a weekly rhythm of formats the team can keep up, with simple measures that show what is working.

Who it is for

This work suits established businesses that post occasionally, or regularly without a clear purpose, and want social media to support how the business is perceived. It works best when the brand position is already agreed, and we can help agree it first if it is not.

How it works

We start with the position: what the business should be known for and by whom. Then we look at where those clients spend time and what they need to see before they make contact. From there we choose the channels, define three or four content pillars that prove the position, and plan a weekly rhythm of formats the team can produce without disrupting the work.

What you receive

A short strategy document, a content calendar for the first month, templates for the main formats, a simple production routine and a monthly review of what is working. The aim is a steady presence that shows the work clearly.

Still deciding?

You do not need a finished brief. We can talk through what you need and where to start.

How often should an established business post on social media?

As often as it can keep up with good content, which for most established service businesses is three to five posts a week across one or two channels. A steady, sustainable rhythm that shows real work is more useful than daily posting that stops after a month.

Which social media channels should an established business use?

The ones its clients actually use to research suppliers. For many business-to-business services that is LinkedIn, with Instagram or Facebook for work that is visual or local. Most businesses do better with one or two channels done consistently than with every channel done occasionally.

Can our own team run the social media plan?

Usually, yes. Zelexis designs the plan around the time and skills the team has, with templates, a simple weekly routine and clear content pillars. Where a business needs more support, Zelexis can produce or review content for a period while the team builds the habit.
